Hi all – I have a spate of these little seedlings popping up all over one of my raised bed. I think the ones in the bottom corner are carrots, but the ones at the top, with all of the little spikes – does anyone know what those are? Are they some kind of weed? Are they some other legit plant that’s somehow snuck into my lettuce and radish seeds? Thanks!

Kinda looks like a dill or California poppy otherwise probably weed – no real way of knowing without growing em out 😀

They also look like pine tree seedlings to me.

Cotyledons (seed leaves) like that are characteristic of conifers. The seed coat on the one to the right is definitely something in Pinaceae, most likely either a pine or spruce.

I live in Georgia – these are definitely pine trees. They’ve started popping up everywhere in the past few weeks, I have to pull a bunch up every few days!

I tried to grow pine trees, this is what the seedlings looked like 🙂
