I don't know why I haven't said anything until now but Hello Fresh always gives me a different meat than the recipe calls for.
This week, they only gave me two meats.
A chicken cutlet and chopped chicken breast. I didn't ask for them to change these meats!! I'm so confused. What do I do?
See in the photos on the food bags where it says "opt for ___(meat)"
Is this normal? This is irritating me and I'm thinking about cancelling HelloFresh. On top of that, I didn't even receive the recipe cards this week.

Mine always say that “opt” stuff even when I didn’t change meat and get the correct “default” meat. So, I think the bags just always say that when there’s a choice.
Contact customer support if you didn’t get the right items.
Use the app to tell them they screwed up, customer service will comp you.
The bags always say that. It’s just part of the recipe name, I guess? But if you didn’t get the correct meat, you should contact customer service.
They don’t print labels individually. All this means is, for example: “Creamy Dill Pork Filet, option for chicken cutlet.” They list all the meat options separately when you pick meals so you could have picked Creamy Dill Chicken Cutlet and that’s just how it comes. The chicken cutlet goes with that bag and the chicken breast is for the Sweet Soy Honey Chicken. The other two don’t have meat by default.
Have you been ordering meatless meals, not paying a protein upcharge, seeing that printed on the bag, and thinking they somehow come with meat for free?
