The only basil I could see at the new supermarket in Castelnuovo di G. was in a plant pot and I've had zero success with those. But both smoked salmon & dates were on offer.
Salmon was a bad idea. Now tempted to fry the rest of the packet.
But dates & mozzarella are amazing together.
