I’m considering buying this used Genesis for $415 including a cover and a tank. I’m having a hard time finding comps but it seems like it’s in great shape. Is this price reasonable?

Looks good will last years and years I’d do it.

I just spent $400 for a used extraordinarily similar grill. It’s probably a little high, but not terribly so. Certainly not a waste of money.

Try to talk them down but if you can’t, I would feel good getting it at that price. Will last you as long as you take care of it!!!! Enjoy

Those things are $800 and up new. I think it’s a bit high though even though it’s clean. I’d offer $300 and try to meet in the middle.

Its in crazy good shape – That grills gotta be 12+ years old. They made this design in 2007-2008 before switching to the front knobs and burners front to back.
The disadvantage of the knobs being upwards facing is that they often ended up with moisture issues.
Also, because the burners run side to side, its alot harder to use zones for cooking – if the front burner is on, you can only move they food towards the back – the heat spans the whole width.
I would say even though the grill is in great shape, its still priced a little high just on age alone.

Overall it looks really clean. The flavorizer bars look like they’re starting to rust, but those are consumable and need to be replaced periodically so that’s expected. You should be able to buy replacements from big box hardware stores, Ace, or online at Amazon or Weber.
The surface rust on the bottom shelf should be addressed ASAP to stop it from spreading. One downside to the cabinet style Genesis grills is that they seem to retain moisture sometimes, and can eventually rust through. My Genesis doesn’t have an enclosed shelf so I am not speaking from experience, but it is something to watch for.

I’ve had that unit for over 10 years now, never a cover, changed out the burners and shields a few times but it keeps on cookin… great units

This probably wasn’t even used for a full season. Looks good.

I forgot that they changed the orientation of the burners. This seems to be a point of contention. I thought the move from side to side to front to back was a huge improvement on the design but seem to think the opposite.
It’s been so long since I had one like that but I just recall it being a bit more difficult during high winds which I have to deal with a lot.
It is in great condition but I would try and go $200-250. That is now 3 (?) models old.

She’s a beaut, Clark! I would pull the trigger if it were me. Get a rotisserie attachment too. You will not be disappointed!
