Deep fry your tortilla before adding any toppings!

The frying process stiffens up the tortilla so that it can actually support the topping like a regular slice would, and makes it absolutely delicious. You won't save on calories per slice like the other methods do, but to me it is totally worth it to get that authentic pizza feel.

My method was simple- fry both sides of tortilla in peanut oil until deep golden brown, drain on paper towels, add toppings, broil until everything is melty!

My palate is not often tricked by substitutions for the real thing, but this one really did it!

Pro tip – when you tortilla puffs up, don’t poke it it with your finger like an idiot! The steam will come out and burn the bejesus out of you! Also- wait for you pizza to cool before tearing into it like a bear waking up from hibernation! It will hurt!

Currently icing my wounds and my ego 😭

I have a pizza steel in my oven, I crisp up on that, then top and bake.

My palate cannot be fooled, but I _am_ ready to be disappointed again. Thanks for posting your method.
