Hey, new member here, but a pretty old coffee shop owner.
I won't go into details about my experience and how I got started as a coffee shop owner, I don't think it's necessary.
Anyway, after years of activity, I began to ponder the ecological aspect of our business.
Every day we collect thousands of disposable cups, that end up who knows where, and I had read somewhere about reusable coffee cups, intended for coffee shops, like the ones in the image bellow, or see more models here.
I suppose the idea is for the customer to buy the reusable cup once, then each time they come to the coffee shop, they bring it with them and their coffee is made in it.
I'm curious if anyone here has introduced such cups into their activity, or perhaps someone among the coffee lovers has seen them at their favorite coffee shops.
Question for owners:
How are they in practice? Did customers like the idea? Do they use them every time they visit your shop?
Question for non-owners:
Would you like it if your favorite coffee shop stopped using paper cups for to-go coffee and switched to aluminum cups?
