Got my very first charcoal grill today!
I got the Weber Original. I wanted to start off with a low entry point. I did get the chimney on FB Market for $5.

Doing an initial burn off the coatings on the grates. My first grill out will be Sunday! Making some burgers.

Any tips for a newbie like me will be much appreciated!

It’s an amazing and versatile grill worthy of its status as a true piece of Americana.. My advice is to experiment with different types of charcoal – don’t just go with the classic Kingsford Briquettes and call it a day.

It took me a while to figure out my own personal preferences of which coal to use for which kinds of meat.

One more little hack – save your drier lint. It makes great (and free) helper to get the chimney started.
