The Clean Peel. Sounds like a Seinfeld episode

The fact that there are multiple attemps to peel it and all of them failed **😭**

I usually just try to peel it off really slowly and if it starts breaking, I either try using a knife to cut the part that is sticked to the jar or I start again from another side

for me, yes. for you? just take the top off with a box opener…

Use a Pizza cutter around the inside edge

Legend has it that he who has the perfect peel will become the new Mr Peanut.

  6. Heat a pan for 1 minute and place the base on the seal for 30 seconds. Then make a hole in the center and pull the parts towards the outside.

I always do. I don’t think I have any hack, I’m just slow and methodical.

packaging is for the manufacturer not the consumer. the branding on the packaging is for the consumer.

Once a tear is started, I pinch it and rip around the edge

    Yes!

Looking at the picture it looks like you’ve peeled it by pulling the edge towards the center (radial direction). The material is probably weaker that the glue that sticks it to the jar.

Try getting a hold of the material on the edge and then pulling it only in circumferential direction, along the edges of the jar… you will see that you will have a nice peel.

Let me know if it’s clear

I just take a knife, pierce it and run it all round the edge. I’ve accepted these things are shit

If you get an edge off, peel around the rim, not down the middle. The rest of the glue will detach.

Very sharp paring knife that your run around the lip.

I typically peel and follow the rim around. For the future, you could cut a slit in the middle and then peel each side toward the rim.
The worst thing I hate opening is parmesan cheese in the tubs. They never come off by pulling. I always have to take a knife and cut around the rim.

Yep, once you pull the tab up and the foil starts to separate from the plastic, run your finger around the edge of the jar instead of peeling straight back

No, it’s an occurrence that happens once every 100 years. You must instead, in order to get satisfaction, puncture the rim of the foil with a sharp knife and, keeping it against the plastic rim, carve the foil out.

I usually stab the center, an use that as leverage and get a clean peal every time
