the year is 1896 in the matro at the
Waldorf Hotel has created the latest
culinary craze by combining apples
walnuts and grapes tossed with
mayonnaise to a bed of lettuce the
Waldorf salad was invented well tonight
I’m going to show you how to make a
Waldorf style chicken salad first I need
to make our chicken salad I had some
leftover rotisserie chicken so I’m
chopping it up into small pieces until I
have about 3
cups then I’ll add 1 and 1/2 cups of
dice
celery three hard-cooked eggs
quartered and a/ teaspoon of
salt next add half a cup of mayonnaise
and mix
well and now that I have chicken salad
it’s time to make it Waldorf style
chicken salad by adding apples grapes
and
walnuts add half a cup of chopped red
apples half a cup of haved
grapes and 1/3 cup of chopped toasted
walnuts then just give it a little stir
to incorporate it all and there you have
it a waldorf Style chicken salad just
put a couple spoonfuls on a croissant
and enjoy this twist to a culinary
classic
