2 Hake Tails
300g Rice
300g Tomato Sauce
100g Peas
Red Peppers
Onion
Garlic
Paprika
Thyme
70cl Fish/Seafood Broth
Bay Leaf

hello and welcome to home cooking Spain
today I’m going to be cooking hke with
rice so let’s
begin so we’ll start off by turning the
stove on I’ll tear it up to medium
high and I’ll
add about 3
tablespoons of olive
oil and we’ll just wait for this to heat
up
slightly um the fish that I’m using
today are these tail ends from
hake nice and big chunks right so once
the oil is
hottish I’ll add
um I add some onion chopped onion Finly
chopped
onion I’m not using that much because
the tomato sauce this one is the the one
that I make myself and it’s already got
onion and other stuff I’ll leave a link
in the description if you’re interested
in making it I’m using two three small
garlic clothes finely chopped
also and some red peppers which I froze
myself I’ll also leave a link in the
description if you’re interested and
know how I freeze them
so we’ll
um we’ll gently soften all this
up right so this seems soft
up so what I’m going to do next
is I’m going to
add one
teaspoon of sweet paprika
and I’m going to add some
th sprinkle as well about half a half a
teaspoon I’ll Chuck in a bay
leaf some salt
and I’ll added my tomato
sauce put some water in that
and just give it a
shake and pour it in there
so let’s give this a
mix and we’ll leave it there for 5
minutes right so after 5
minutes I’m going to add in the rice I’m
going to pour it in
evenly well spread I mean
and we’ll just move it about and mix it
in and we just leave it there for five
more minutes so after another 5
minutes what we’ll
do is
put in the
fish and the peas frozen
peas and I’ll top it
up with
the fish and seafood broth
I’m going to I’ll tell you in a minute
how much I’ll add more or
less about
70 cl
roughly about 3/4 of
the of the
carton and I just cover it up I leave a
bit of Gap just in case and I’m going to
whack it right
up to number 9 maximum and wait for that
to
boil so once this starts to
boil I’ll
um going to turn the fish
over and I’ll cover it back
up and I’m going to turn it down to
medium high and we’ll leave it there for
15 minutes and it should be done well
the 15 minutes are
over and
this is
ready so I’ll just turn everything
off and we’ll serve it up on this plate
for the thumbnail of course so here is
today’s delicious lunch hag fish with

  1. That hake looked fabulous!. Perfect for this kind of dish as the soft flesh absorbs the flavours. Never thought of herbs like thyme and bay with fish. I tend to go for parsley, tarragon, basil and, of course, fennel!. Salud 🍷👍!.
