Google says fettuccine alfredo is Italian but I’m kind of afraid to post here anyway lol. I also added chicken but that probably yeehawed it out of Italy straight to Texas.

Idk if garlic bread with a baguette is legal either. Or if garlic bread is even Italian lol. Sauce is simple with only parmigiano reggiano for cheese, heavy cream, little fresh nutmeg, black pepper, garlic etc and chicken is seasoned with garlic, onion, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper

For one, there wouldn’t be chicken with it.
While fettuccine Alfredo isn’t really Italian, it is, but it’s made much different. The way we make it in the US is a bit of a bastardization.
Fettuccine al burro is what you’re looking for. It’s pasta water, butter, and Parmigiano reggiano. Nothing more. Nothing less. Some add pepper I believe.
They call it something else in Rome I believe, but it’s the same thing.

The name of the dish originated in a restaurant in Rome as fettuccine al’Alfredo, but it was literally just fettuccine al burro e Parmigiano, fettuccine with butter and Parmesan. It’s considered a home cooked meal in Italy and most people wouldn’t expect it on a menu.
The American version, which includes cream, is not found at all in Italy.

Looks pretty dang good for a classic American Italian dish. Enjoy!
Ps. I make a shrimp fettuccine pasta based off of one I had in Puglia that is butter cheese and shrimp, and sure me but I throw in a couple tablespoons of cream at the end. So just live your life and don’t over cook your pasta!

Order Fettuccine Alfredo in Italy and the waiter will reply, “fettuccine yes, but my name is Enzo”.
