Is it normal for tomato plants to grow this much in a month

Yeah but your growth is gonna slow down hard with that first tomato cluster. I usually like to snip the first buds I see, that way it’ll shoot out more leaves for growth usually ending up in a larger harvest. Nothing wrong with what you’re doing though, she looks happy and healthy.

I’ve never snipped flowers and never had an issue with vegetative growth or fruit production. Also, where are you located and are these indeterminate or determinate? I frequently need to top my indeterminate plants at about 7’ when they grow over my support. Weather wise, if you live in an area that get hot and humid weather, disease can shorten your season and heat above 90 will prevent fruiting. Opposite type weather also impacts the plant too.
I’m not aware of the science that supports the theory that snipping first flowers. It might indeed work but I believe there are other things in the growing season & conditions that will happen and have far more impact on fruit production and quality.
If anything here, I’d suggest your pot is too small and will limit growth and fruiting.
