I have a story about this.
One thanksgiving i brought it to my extended’s . I put this put WITH the jar and a paper note saying “very spicy.” I learned that day that my Uncle had to be illiterate because he went for it and didnt see the jar or my note by the bowl.
His saliva got spicy as a result, and he started sneezing and got it in his eyes cus it went backwards up his nose. So now hos mouth, nose, and eyes are all messed up. Then he accused me of trying to murder him and wouldnt touch anything i brought to gatherings for 2 years.
Now my uncle eats the somewhat spicy salsa i make and other zippy foods that my new england palate extended family, or my jalapeno loving immedate has no tolerance for. Real amusing turnaround.

Does it have that vomit/rancid taste? I can’t stand most cheese dips because of that. I love their salsas but haven’t pulled the trigger on the cheese dip.
FUN FACT: Some of the proceeds from Mrs. Renfros goes to the Chili Pepper Institute at NMSU in New Mexico.
