Complete newbie to growing things π
Is my tomato plant growing a bit wild for the size of the pot?
Unsure if I need to trim it in order to help the tomatoes grow a bit better. There are already some tiny ones forming but just looking for some advice!
Thank you π

You’ve got to pick a central leader aka a single vine and stake it upward. That’s how you’ll continue to grow your tomato.
There appears to be one main stem growing upward, I’d choose that one. Repot or plant outside and buy a much bigger support for the tomato.
There’s different options for supporting the tomato such as stakes, tomato cages and trellises.
It appears to be an indeterminate variety and each stem acts like a main stem – and that plant will grow upward and grow outward until it dies off later this year. You can select as many stems as you want when itβs grown in the ground. This is not the ideal variety for a pot. Iβm growing some along a chain link fence this year and will allow it to get tall and wide.
If you can transplant it outside, that would be best. Second choice would be to transplant it into a much larger pot with drainage holes and use some good potting soil. It will need staking to support the stems. Easier to pick a main stem the grows upwards and not outwards. For my indeterminate varieties I provide 7β of support by pounding an 8β 1×2β stake into the ground. I allow some side stems by selecting which βsuckerβ I allow to grow. I end up pinching off most suckers. Look up pruning tomatoes on Youtube.
