hey everybody welcome to another episode
of sincerely genia
in today’s video i am making a
gluten-free cornbread stuffing
for my daughter who cannot have regular
cornbread dressing on
during the holidays so i’m gonna make a
special cornbread stuffing
just for her i got this recipe from
laila ali
i’m gonna leave the link to that recipe
video in the description box below
i’m excited to try it i’ve never had it
before so i’m going to be trying it for
the first time
right here on sincerely virginia with
you guys and i’m going to let you know
how it turns out
all right so if you want to see for
yourself stick around and watch
all right everybody so we’re gonna go
and get started
we’re gonna saute our celery and our
onions now this is laila ali’s recipe
okay
and leila says in her stuffing
we’re gonna start out with she says
we’re gonna start out with two
tablespoons
of coconut oil okay now normally when
i’m sauteing
my my original traditional dressing
i do not use coconut oil coconut oil
ain’t nowhere in my recipe
but this is layla’s recipe all right
y’all
this is laila’s recipe and i’m gonna
follow layla’s recipe
uh accordingly and she says that and it
is
coconut oil which i learned uh on keto
that coconut oil is a better fat for us
so
we’re gonna do layla’s recipe with some
coconut oil okay we got two tablespoons
of coconut oil so we’re gonna add in our
celery and we’re going to add in
our onions
and we’re going to saute these until
they’re nice and translucent
all right my onions and celery have
began to
become translucent and they’ve started
to brown on the edges so now i’m going
to add my lean
ground turkey
and get that incorporated in here really
good
all right now let’s add our seasoning
we’re going to start out with black
pepper
i’m using pink himalayan sea salt
paprika
thyme
and sage
all right now let’s mix this all

this smells some kind of good i’m
telling you
all these seasonings and spices it
smells
good okay i mean
delicious
all right i’m going to go ahead and turn
our burner off this is ready
now let’s move on to the next step
all right now we’re going to add our
meat mixture to our cornbread i have
this the
gluten-free cornbread that i made in
yesterday’s video
it is here i’ve crumbled it up and now
we’re going to add our meat mixture to
it and get this stuff in it going
all right so let’s add our oh so
flavorful turkey mixture here
this smells so good y’all
i just i just can’t this smells
this smells good you can like eat this
by itself
all right so let’s mix that up
again this is i’m gonna say again this
is a new recipe that i am trying
trying it for the first time here so i
have not made it beforehand
um i’m trying it for the first time with
you guys and i got this recipe it’s a
leila ali
recipe uh gluten-free stuffing
i will be bringing the traditional
dressing that i make
uh to the channel here uh this week
for you guys to try but i’m doing this
gluten-free
for my baby girl who now
is uh on a gluten-free diet right now so
i want her to have some delicious
flavorful food for dinner and uh so
we’re gonna go with this
all right so i’ve got that incorporated
really well now i’m going to add
some chicken broth and you can add as
much or as
little as you want it depends on how you
like your stuffing
and remember that cornbread is just
gonna soak this liquid right up
we don’t want i don’t i don’t ever want
my
stuffing dry at all
but again this is a stuffing you know
i’m gonna look and see what the
difference is between a stuffing
and a dressing what the exact difference
is
because uh i’ve seen some stuffings that
are pretty dry it seems like
joy the time when i see a stuffing
recipe it’s pretty dry
it’s pretty crumbly whereas dressing
usually isn’t it’s moist and it like
sticks together and
that’s i’m that’s what i love that’s
what i grew up eating
and that’s what i love
all right guys so now i’ve got my pen
here i’m just gonna use a full
plant pan it’s gonna make cleanup so
much easier
and this looks about the same texture
as laila ali’s had hers so
i’m going to go ahead and put this on in
here
put it in our pan it does smell good
i mean it smells really good
it is a lot more crumblier than i would
have mine but again
this is not my recipe we’re trying out
lately
trying out hers and i’m positive that if
i
i think i need to have a put a little
bit more um

chicken broth in there i have no problem
doing that all right
here we go guys i’m going to put this in
the oven 350 degrees for 35 to 40
minutes
i’m gonna check on it regularly to see
you know if the textures
is what i think it is supposed to be so
let’s pop it in and
i can’t wait to try this out
all right our stuffing is ready let’s
give it a taste

this layla recipe let’s see what layla
has done
pretty good okay

you can definitely taste the sage and
the thyme in here
we season that meat really really well
i think my daughter is going to be
pleased
all right this is something new
it is good it is not a keto dish just so
you guys know
this is a gluten-free stuffing
and uh yeah this is what we’re going to
be
letting my daughter enjoy over the
holidays but it is very very delicious
very very delicious all right guys

  2. Hello, did you place that in the freezer for Thanksgiving? I'm thinking about making my dressing and freezing it for Thanksgiving…not sure how it will turn out.

  3. I came for another recipe because laila's has too much stuff in it I'm allergic too..So I guess I'm moving on..😟😟..DANG IT!!!!
