Not quite the same but: Reminds me of where I work. We recently switched from using bowls for salad, to putting it on plates. It looks stupid and weird to me. And it’s not like the portions changed so I just don’t get it at all.
Yes we still serve on plates, luckily. But I just don’t get the weird change all of a sudden.
