My new favorite grill cleaner.

Yeah I don’t know why I didn’t do this way earlier. I’ve been struggling to find a decent grill brush replacement. I’ve tried the “stone” ones and that goofball looking woven metal one. Almost plunked down the money for that spongy one that apparently steams the grime off…

But then remembered I have these fantastic little copper scrubbers that you pick up at the grocery store for a few bucks. I use them on grimy pans… how about my grill grate?

They work perfectly. They aren’t expensive. They clean up easily in the dishwasher. They last about 20ish good scrapings till you get a new one. (Unlike that stone thing that lasts maybe 5)

For years I’ve used the classic wire brush cleaners… UNTIL I got one of those bristles stuck in the back of my mouth. You read horror stories about that shit happening and think “what are the odds?” Or “I’ve never had that happen!” Then it fucking happens and damn… only needs to happen once before you swear them off completely. Luckily I got mine out quickly, but that shit can cause some real damage if swallowed.

I’ve been using a grill daddy and it’s been pretty great.
But yeah, the steel scrubbers would be great too

Love these stainless steel scouring pads. I found a long handle made to hold these and it makes short work of cleaning a hot grill grate.

Home Depot sells a grill scrubber made of the same stuff but on a handle. It works awesome. I use a scrub daddy grill brush for most of the time. But when it isn’t enough, I grab for that thing.

I use a piece of 1×3. Works great, cost me nothing.
