Growing san marzanos in 8'x4'x20" beds. I opted for rows of 5 rather than 4 since I ended with 38 'maters seedlings and will be using a stringer/lower & lean trellis method.

I’d suggest you mulch to help with moisture retention, soil biology and weed suppression. I put down a thick layer of wheat straw.

Also, depending on how nutrient rich the soil is, I’d suggest a feed program either organic or soluble fertilizer as tomatoes are considered heavy feeders. If you go the organic route, they take time to break down and need to be planned out. Soluble fertilizers are more of an immediate feed.

I believe your trellis system works best with heavily pruned tomato plants with only a main stem. You’ll want to familiarize yourself with pinching off suckers. Many tutorials on YT. Millennial Gardener and Lazy Dog Farms are my go to’s.

    Very Nice

Noticed the plastic liner, hopefully, you have bottom holes to allow for water drainage. Since there appears to be no fencing, do you have any issues with wildlife – deer and bunnies will have a feast on those plants.
