Planted this habanero last year and it survived winter here in Northern California. I’m wondering if I should do any pruning. It sprouted a ton of little leaves and has very small peppers. Last year it grew large ones and it had way less leaves. Thanks.

I picked the peppers off so the plant would focus on making new leaves.
The peppers that grew during the winter will be small. The one that started in Spring will grow large like what you had remembered from last year.
No need to do anything special. Nature and the plant knows best. Care for it like normal.
