For this brand and flavor, I usually I add eggs and any veg like scallions, carrot, kimchi, seaweed… Beef, shrimp, and dumplings work too. Sesame oil and American cheese are always good. Since you asked for “hacks” too, I discovered a couple things recently. I was all out of kimchi, but remembered I had some sauerkraut in the back of the fridge and I added that to the ramen and guess what, it was the bomb! And the other “hack” is adding cheese flavor nacho chips for a kind of ghetto convenience store Mexican tortilla soup, but it was the bomb too.

See all the stuff in the picture that’s not noodle and broth? Add that stuff to the ramyeon.
My go to for spicy Korean instant ramyeons: shiitake, egg, and green onion. Sprinkle some sesame seeds if I have some, and once in a while a slice of American cheese. Crumple up some toasted seaweed and sprinkle some of that on there too. If I’m feeling fancy, add sliced roast beef or pork belly.
But basically it’s noodles and broth. You can add anything really. I’m always surprised at how many people eat instant noodles plain.

Drain water. Mix with a slice of your favorite cheese and a can of tuna. It sounds disgusting, it’s actually sublime. Too salty without the water to eat very often.

Start by boiling veg a fish balls in water for recipe for a couple of mins
Garnish with chopped spring onions, seaweed, fried onions or sesame seeds
I always add gocharu (coarse Korean chilli powder)
I saw a video once of a mad man using milk instead of water – have never tried

William-Shakesqueer

Always cook the noodles for 15 seconds less than the package says. Maintains the noodle integrity for longer!

Couple drop of vinegar, pinch of msg, half teaspoon of sugar, half tablespoon of chili flakes, and an egg make it taste like what you would find on Gimbap Paradise.
Also if you look at the packaging image you can tell if an egg goes with it or not. Jin Ramen has egg on the packaging image, but not on Shin ramen.
