Two years ago I successfully grew Chocolate Ghosts and Trinidad Scorpions from seed. I saved and dried seeds from both plants and germinated new plants last year. However, the fruit produced by both new plants are not the appropriate peppers! Both come out this smooth, orange pepper. I am certain the seeds are from the original two plants. I have no idea how this happened. Fruits from both plants begin green then end up orange. They go no further. If anyone can explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it!

The plants were probably either hybrids or unstabilized varieties

Regardless of what kind of pepper these plants are growing, you need to love your plants better. Start by pulling all the weeds out of their soil. They’re stealing nitrogen from your plants.

What are those bags you’re growing in? Do they drain effectively? Are they made for plants? I’d be afraid of them leaching plastic chemicals into my plants.

How did you get your plants so tall? They’re quite impressive. What zone are you growing in?
