Ingredients:
– 2 Whole Chickens
– 1 packet of rice (i use brown)
– 4 Eggs
– 1 cup of Lemon Juice

Seasonings
– Salt
– Pepper
– Lemon

Method:
1. Boil the chicken until it falls apart
2. Take the chicken out and shred it into small pieces
3. Put rice and the shredded chicken back into the chicken juice
4. Make Avgolemono (Αβγολέμονο) – which you blend the egg whites first, then add the lemon juice (1 cup) and then some of the chicken juice
5. Add the Avgolemono to the soup
6. Add salt and pepper to the soup
7. Serve

hey guys and welcome back today we’re making chicken soup so you’re going to start off by getting two whole chickens and we’re going to be putting them into a pot and we’re going to be covering them with water and allowing them to boil once they’ve boiled you’re going to poke it with a fork if the meat starts falling apart you know it’s ready and you can take it out of the pot and then start making the pieces really small so I shredded the chicken by using a fork you guys can also cut it up I’ve done that in the past as well whichever one works better for you guys I would recommend waiting for the chicken to cool down I normally just leave it aside because obviously it burns your hands and I also turn down the temperature for the juice to make sure it didn’t all evaporate and I also put a lid on it as usual I will put the recipe in the description below so you guys can have it so now that the chicken has cooled down I decided to cut off the legs and the wings and the skin I took it off so I could put it in a tray and then cook that in the oven so it could get nice and crispy also my family really likes their legs and the wings that’s the best part of the chicken cuz the meat’s not dry so I decided to cook that in the oven separately and then I took a fork as you guys can see and I started shredding the chicken the smaller pieces is the better cuz obviously it’s chicken soups you want every single Spoonful to have chicken in it if you guys are wondering why I’m wearing glove normally I do not wear a glove because I prefer touching the meat you get a better grip on it but because I cut myself and I was making goody I was cutting some of the organs up um the knife slipped so I decided I’d wear gloves just so I won’t get any blood in the food so while you’re shredding the chicken you can also go and add some rice to the juice that you had left over from the chicken and then add back the chicken strips that you’ve just cut up back to the juice as well so it can keep continuing to cook so now we’re going to make the aono so aono is egg and lemon and that is a nice froth that you get on top of your soup so what we’re going to do is we’re going to crack four eggs and you’re going to just put the egg whites into the blender and you’re going to put a bit of water and you’re going to blend it up until it becomes nice and fo me and then as you guys just saw I just added in some lemon juice and I just kept mixing ing it and then once you’ve done that you added all that back in you’re going to add in the egg yellows back in as well then after that you’re going to go to your soup you’re going to scoop out a bit of the juice so I normally do two soup spoons put that in a bowl and then you’re going to add that to the blender as well because what happens is when you put egg into the hot mixture it starts cooking straight away so to make sure that the egg mixture now that we’re making the other lemono is at the same temperature as the soup so it doesn’t just start cooking and look gross on top so it can blend in better to the soup you’re going to add that mixture into the blender slowly and then once that’s combined as well then you’ll go and you’ll just add in slowly all the juice into your pot and then you just leave the soup on the stove to keep cooking through you know it’s ready once you try it and that’s it guys I really hope you guys enjoyed this recipe it was really simple really limited amount of ingredients really healthy dish so tasty really nice obviously you also garnish this dish with salt and pepper and also a bit more lemon if you guys like that flavor and then it’s ready to serve thank you for watching this video see you guys in the next one bye
