you guys are going to be showing up I’m GNA pull aside some of my key star ingredients for dinner pull them over here I added a little bit of tofu to the soup to that gorgeous soup I made which I want you guys to make the nettle Chinese herb broth with raw veggies thrown in um tempted to do it again in a different form a different version um we have some goodies which are unusual this is the 39th day of raw soups and smoothies aside from a couple of broths I had a little chocolate today I’m feeling good tomorrow’s going to be 40 day 40 Days Raw soups and smoothies I’m a little bored the the broth helped that I got something really exciting banana cream ollipop a new kind of soda with prebiotics and plant fiber so we’re here together it’s Saturday I don’t know how long we’re going to be here together but we’re just going to do it I did buy tofu this is the tofu that I like extra firm high protein it’s super firm Wildwood it’s the only one I buy and it’s very like you can Cube it and it’s just delicious even if you just want to put some olive oil salt garlic chili pepper it’s incredible thank you for the thumbs up so I don’t know we’ve got Tomatoes we got some Shard we got some mushrooms uh the mushrooms I think I’m going to cook cuz I cooked shiitake and I cooked them with sage and garlic and uh coconut oil and salt and it’s insane so we’re going to do that I did the Hannah on my hair outside it looks coppery really copper orangy and inside it looks rather brown but I like it as a base and in 6 weeks I’m going to do a redder one but I like it it’s pretty cute when the light hits it it’s copper it’s like a copper penny so let’s get this we’re going to get the coconut oil I love I love a little change and it homogenized it imaginized all the different highlights and it was looking dark and light and and it looked a little disjointed and now I look jointed you know I can’t really find where is my coconut oil well so how’s everybody doing tonight how y’all doing it’s our hangout let’s cut up the mushrooms really fast shis to me they’re like just salty bits of crunchiness and I love them hey Laura what brand did you use your hair looks good extra gorgeous thank you I didn’t I got it in before you mentioned Moroccan method which I looked them up and they didn’t have copper they just had red and I was scared to do the red red red cuz sometimes it just looks so red but next time I’m not going to be scared sced because I want it redder but I use copper rainbow rainbow is the company and it was a messy experience but not hard at all not hard at all to do hey Michelle so next time I’ll get the Morocco method and I’ll go red red red but now it’s copper copper copper and outside it looks so copper and this looks like my natural hair color really um so I kind of went back to my own roots yeah they don’t have copper they have red and sometimes red henna could look like really red I saw that if you add lemon juice to it or you make it with like a rois tea then it makes it a little more golden which maybe I’ll do that next time but this is my first experience doing henna you cannot make your hair lighter it covered up my light bits which I’m sure it washes out and they say after a couple weeks it gets brighter so this is not the Telltale color but I’m I’m really liking it it didn’t turn out as copper as I would have liked I think you have to do a I think I would mix the copper with red and then get you know the color I want but it’s a 6 to8 week it lasts 6 to 8 weeks you cannot lighten it after you do henna I don’t know if 8 weeks later you can or you just can’t after you put the henna in I don’t know but when I lighten my hair it tends to get very dry and especially in Sedona so I’m good with it it’s it’s rich and mellow Jen okay we got the shitake going we got the we’re going to have the garlic smells and Sage so this is cooked I cook broth and I will cook mushrooms but the rest is raw so we’re going to make a little raw medley tonight with some cooked mushrooms so it’s raw Fusion it’s basically 39 days of no offending Foods very little cooked food none really the soup was still the r veggies were still raw although when I heated up the next day the veggies did get cooked hey David I’m going to make a a Cava in your honor tonight you get to design it because David told us he used to work at a Cava bar and he made it it’s it’s not not difficult you don’t have to strain it in a strainer you can actually just put it in a jar put some warm water let it sit I’m going to let it it’s it for 10 15 minutes and then I’m going to make some kind of cocktail with it way better than alcohol it’s a root it’s natural um it just gives you like this calm feeling all right we’ll save the rest of the shitaki for tomorrow although when I make a lot of shiitake then they just sit in the pan and I have a little bite uh throughout the day hey darling all right we need a wooden spoon let’s see if I have Sage I have these gorgeous cherry tomatoes I have um a really new fun surprise ingredient which was that whole foods and this is a small company on the east coast and I used to order their sauerkraut they’re lovely small town cultures and these are sliced jalapenos they’re raw and they’re fermented and they have probiotics so this was like a surprising ingredient hey Ryan I’m drinking this I treat myself when I go a Whole Foods I get a little this is mango coconut water oh my God I’ll order from them put it in the comments after so we can all continuously see it but seven cups aged white tea ooh cook your mushrooms always on medium to low um yeah let’s let’s uh support nice companies like small town cultures I love them love love love I love the jar I love the logo I love um their products I love good tea I love my bruise so let’s see if we got Sage cuz we’ll have that going then next the Cava will be going and you can design whatever flavor you want it could be mango could be Cherry it could be banana cream it could be lemon something lemon honey do you ever put sweet did they put sweetener ever honey in Cava I just like it straight but it was really fun to make the cocktail you’re not a Darlene you’re not used to seeing me on YouTube I know we’re back home black pepper and sage and I’m going to go get my garlic paste you didn’t know harmless Harvest had flavored varieties they do harmless Harvest has mango and watermelon and I got the the mango they had another flavor I forgot I wasn’t attracted to it okay now we just need to add the sage and the black pepper and the mushrooms are good they’re going to simmer for a long while and uh do I have Sage I do have Sage thank God if you want to make something that simulates meat or you want to like get something hearty then do mushrooms um you could do chopped walnuts um you can make like a nut or seed Pate I have it in my dues do the holidays ebook and when you season it with sage it gives a meat kind of flavor thing watermelon sounds really good too uh you need to be careful with coconut water yeah because you have to diabetes you don’t want to have the straight up sugary the fresh coconut water like this one is at least not pasteurized the other stuff is just like sugar water um your son is teaching you all about YouTube maybe he could teach me it’s changed since I started all those years ago it’s a new Molasses I saw where Josephine put it I don’t use olive oil I use coconut oil I used to use ghee I’m not using that but coconut oil is my favorite because of olive oil heated up will change its molecular structure and it could be an artery clogger so the best thing to do with olive oil is drizzle it really good olive oil on top of something guys do you ever just keep looking in the same place but because you know you didn’t look well enough okay look the W it up for goodness sakes I do have so many flavors and so many fun directions to go with tonics and cavas and there it is I thought i’ put it up here okay here’s the Cava so yesterday we did like 8 oz of water and it was like was it a teaspoon and a half I think that was it um I like ntiva extra virgin organic coconut oil does that sound right a teaspoon and a half David for a cup it’s night time with DAR Jamie here I announced on Instagram that I was going to have a party here I don’t use avocado oil what do you guys think about avocado oil I just eat the avocado I think it’s better to eat the actual food rather than the oil but if you’re going to use the oil just make sure whatever oil it is that it’s not Rancid that’s the key I went to walk to the Cava bar was about an 18-minute walk and they were closed I think they might be out of business which I was going to make a video for us there okay this is super hot um we’re going to shake it up like David said let it settle and then strain it okay thank you ooh oh for 8 oz you should use about two to three tablespoons so I just did a teaspoon and a half so how many teaspoons for this size jar well I didn’t use that much water cuz that’s what do you think help um wow two to three tablespoons of Cava for 8 oz so I have a teaspoon and a half I’m going to put another um one and a half in there there and then add water thank you six teaspoons wow that’s a lot so that’s another half and that’s one so that’s three these are Big teaspoons so four five not measured very well but good enough that’s going to be strong that’s going to be like and I don’t need to drink all of it right so this I don’t think this jar is maybe 8 oz if I if I fill it up it’s hot water I’m going to add some water to it and then shake it and then let it sit is avocado oil great for cooking it doesn’t change structure you guys well now we know for a jar of cava six tablespoons that’s good to know thank you so much David so now we have our base this is like our alcohol but not and then we can make whatever cocktail we want so now the mushrooms are cooking the Cava is steeping you can get Cava tincture but I don’t know I feel like I love being an alchemist I loved doing the henna I love doing last night’s like concoctions I love making it up as I go it feels like it has more creativity in it I was already thinking hm I don’t know fresh figs but I have dried figs should I reconstitute them with a little water and then put a little almond ricotta on it in Salt like I like to be creative so I’m going to get the wash basin oh it should make about three beverages so I should only have onethird of it intuitive creation is the best let our bodies tell us what we need and spirit like we get messages when I’m in the kitchen I’m like oh how about this how about that and so there’s excitement to what you’re making it’s not stayed or rot or dull or stuck or stiff it has like there’s like a living creative element to the way I make food which sounds like an important important detail I have beads don’t I did they fall off I think my beads fell off they must have fallen off earlier that’s weird I have to put them back on you so I me my belly beads they’re gone I didn’t even notice on all right so now um tell me I’m going to hear what the important detail out of the wash basin I don’t know if you can still get these but this is my favorite I have it listed as favorites in my Amazon favorites and you fill it with water and then you just drain it like that it makes it so convenient to um that tomato didn’t look right okay I’ll wash that’s a lot of tomatoes I’ll just wash a few I’ll wash The Shard and that will be good it’s going to be really simple tonight um I see you bber blabber liver blabber hi Cava is a root David can explain what it is used to work a Cava bar but it makes you relaxed oh the important detail must be like don’t drink this whole thing cuz this is three servings actually you can have two servings some people would have three throughout the night but if you’re a lightweight like me then one serving is plenty it is an important detail how much to drink it’s a natural relaxing native to Fiji this one is from Fiji it also you can grow it in Hawaii it’s it’s a root You’re Not Invisible don’t leave I just walked go a little it tastes a little bitter it’s got like a bitter flavor it’s not like a fun flavor but it is a fun feeling in moderation I think but David can tell us so you can buy it um I know I can buy it at interdependence I bought it at the Cava bar but can you order it online you had a rough day a music producer told you your song sucked your bias sing it anyway that’s not nice of them I want to hear it okay so we have organizing as we go we’re going to have a little treat we’re going to also have figs Jada I was on the phone with her at Whole Foods and she was like do something with figs and I’m like they’re not in season so I have dried figs let’s get them I am going through you guys I’m so excited I have so many pantry items and I’m just going through them and it feels so good to move through the stuff here’s a couple figs we’ll just do a couple Little Cuties black missions just for a little flavor profile to change it up like you could get very bored having the same thing my pantry drawer is glass I have Christmas lights in there and it’s just jars jars and jars of teas and dried things and dried bananas and dried figs and Goji berries it’s like it’s like a party in there so let’s do the little we’ll chop the food and then we’ll make the little figgy dessert to serve on the side it’s so Virgo Rising Jamie you’re right do you have a link to it um yeah Cava is bitter and should be used like a hard alcohol so put only one or 2 ounces into an 8 oz size drink so one or two ounces a third of this in a drink and we’re good David it would be really nice to know where to get I’m going to put a little bit of the honey in here the prickle pear honey while it’s still warm that’s legit right David David B a car I mean I first found Cava in Florida in um delway Beach and Patrick and I were fascinated with the Cava bar so we tried all of them there were like five and in different in very close proximity to towns and just the culture and the idea that it’s a liation but it’s not alcohol and it doesn’t mess with your liver I guess it could if you have too much oh you’re asking blibber blabber a link to his song or their song you can get Cav at most medicinal herbal stores at least here in Vancouver but it could be F hard to find that’s interesting I’m so sad the Cava Play Shut I think they have Cava interdependence they have katam can you tell us about katam um I tried it once and I was like whoa it was a lot so katom is another substance that I don’t don’t know exactly what it is um I could do a spicy P prickly pickly pickly pear prickly pear I thought so I feel like kadam’s dark Cava feels light in moderation but katam seems dark to [Music] me I got this one I went to the Tanto National Forest I love collecting things on my travels it isn’t legal in Vancouver but you can buy it from most head shops that sell bongs katom is an opioid and not legal here okay so you have to be really careful with it I got some and I threw it out I was like I don’t resonate with it um okay so I’m put a little chili flakes in my prickly pear just a little spice if you add spice you’re going to drink it slower oh you could do a rose Cava we’re going to have a different Cava every night you guys it didn’t affect me the other night I think I had it with so much coconut cream the co I made it with coconut butter the Frozen pineapple um a lot of water so by the time I drank what I had all right we strain that in a little bit I was taking crom somewhat regularly then the then when I stopped I had the worst mood swings almost to a suicidal whoa yeah let’s stay away from the crom how do you feel about the Cava I won’t be insulted if you think it’s bad that is scary it is chalky and it is Muddy chalky and muddy but it’s not strained yet can I do I have to strain it through a nutmilk bag or can I strain it through this little strainer our mushrooms smell so good this will work right so exciting these are things that will go away in a little bit and I’m all cleaned up I got lemons so you guys my hair didn’t turn out red but it’s coppery and it’s very copper in the sun and it feels just very dignified and like my real color but I’m going to go redder next time somehow I’m going to mix a color um you tried the yogi tea Cava tea bags a couple times years ago when I quit drinking alcohol but read that it can cause liver toxicity yeah if you drink too much I think so but was just reading about it now and sounds like that’s kind of rare I think it’s rare and I really like Cava I really like just a little bit I’m a very moderate person so just a little bit um do you like I know the color it’s pretty right it feels very natural it actually feels like a color I had when I was young when I was born I had strawberry blonde hair but then as I got older it was like coppery and this feels just like me so I’m not mad at it that it didn’t get very bright thank you Jamie love um okay so now what do we do we are going to line up our spinach great spinach is kind of common um okay Michelle I’m making I didn’t know what I was making but I’m making three different I’m making four different things I made Cava quickly pear chili pepp Cava um I’m making a chopped it’s going in here there’s going to be cherry tomatoes Shard cut up avocado some probiotic jalapeno so it’s going to be spicy and there’s going to be olive oil and who knows maybe nutritional yeast I haven’t thought about the spices yet but on top on the top we’re going to have these mushrooms which by the time I’m done with them they’re crispy they’re chewy they’re salty they’re fat and they’re just a real treat um and they smell good and they feel good so I put the shard in the bowl I will put then we’re going to do something with figs um I’m going to cut the tomatoes you mention intuition after 14 years studying holistic health I feel intuition is the most important thing learning to listen to what your body is communicating yes you can’t really do that if you are filled with parasites because they’re going to crave sugar and and flowers and stuff and starches you can’t do that if you are craving um I think it I think it requires some amount of time of a cleanup and then eat whatever you’re craving um or just go to the produce section or the Farmers Market and see what sings to you that’s your intuition but I agree with you if you think about it with all of we were just I was talking about that with Michael that and we were talking last night it was a beautiful conversation that even what we wear what we eat and I’m adding in how we live at home should be intuitively led and it and someone called it intuitive self-care so that goes with not only food that goes with home that goes with which direction we let our feet take us in it goes with intuitively who we hang with in what we [Music] study ah what Cava is best that’s what it was it was David and I was thinking about that today cuz last night I did go into my closet and I kept my little print dresses that are easy to throw on and they still feel somewhat like me but the bigger ones and the floaty ones and the too big and too printy and too I was like it was like overwhelming to look at things that I just wasn’t gravitating towards I’m gravitating towards simple pants a plain skirt not all these prints and I was like wo the prints got loud I think because I’m getting more sensitive I just want everything to be simple so I just want the things that I grab now so I’m just like boxing them because I don’t know I don’t think they’re bad I think they have a certain time and place but not in my face every day and we just we’re discussing how that’s part of it too how we feel while we’re moving around the day so we don’t really want to go wearing things just because we have them and we bought them if they’re not vibing with us you feel weird when you’re out and about and you’re wearing something that just doesn’t feel like you Gorge lemon salt no I do the avocado first solid colors natural fabric a lot of linen um spacious clothing easy to move in sexy like be not being comfortable is not sexy and not feeling like yourself at any stage so it changes seasonly it changes with weight it changes with how you feel it changes with I mean when I moved to Sedona I wanted to wear these big baggy dresses with nothing on underneath them and I did like just dresses and nothing else and I was like that’s so simple and then now it’s just pants and pants and tank tops pants and t-shirts that’s just what mood I’m in right now in Montreal would also like to connect with Dara friends you’re in Montreal ah okay we got to put it out there we got to put it out there on Instagram you want to have community in person you love my beautiful dresses that’s why they’re winter yes it’s long comfy linen skirts and linen shirts and big linin sweater it’s different seasons and different moods you’ve been using David I’ve been using fashion to express my emotions help me cope with how crazy the world seems to be getting wow that’s beautiful my fashion this year is more edgy and DIY Punk inspired and isn’t that amazing to be like this is how I’m showing up that’s really cool I never use the word fashion when it comes to myself it’s just like clothes that I wear we but it is fashion is how we express ourselves I don’t even know what to tell you about how gorgeous these are they’re now I can shut the Heat and as they cool down and dry they’re just amazing to put on top of a salad or a soup or just eat one or two as you walk by the pan the next day trust me if you do this you will like it with the shiitake oh my God you know what I know what these aren’t particularly squishy figs a little concerned about them but if I slice them cuz I was in the store and I’m like well people serve push uh figs with push obviously I’m not eating pruto and I was just thinking well I could sprinkle salt and use this Mio’s cream cheese but I just realized that the salty mushrooms will serve as a simulation to the pruto found it that’s creativity intuition and how you wear your hair entirely changes your mood and energy also right you put it in a ponytail you feel fun and cute uh if it’s to the side and Chic Jamie cut off her hair that was down to here like Punk inspired does sound perfect you would never eat mushrooms oh you would never eat them until you made them like I do I’m telling you I’m so glad to hear that that makes me want to keep showing up with my tips and tricks because these mushrooms I don’t like soggy mushrooms you must not like soggy wet mushrooms either I don’t want the Soggy mushrooms I want them crispy and they’re going to go on here and I’m going to chew honestly you guys I could stick this in the blender and blend it and be perfectly happy over a meter of hair last time I remember last year um I remember when you did it so I’m going to slice the figs and make a teeny little cute plate let’s try it are you ready my friend Lely gave me this plate so cute so a little bit of fig figgy I want the squishy white figs but this is going to have to do it’s going to totally do like a slice of fig put it in a plate let me see yeah they’re soft enough we’re going to make like teeny little fig this is a cute appetizer I would like it if they were a little bit softer I would love it if they were fresh um one more since cream cheese which I haven’t been eating stuff like this this is a big fat treat we’re having a party it’s Saturday night and I’m having oh my God I’m having vegan cheese on a dried fig with mushrooms but that’s really like I got to tell you doing stuff like this for yourself so cute tiny little bit do you like this idea I like this idea like eating like a wet sponge gross so you know how to do it you’ve done right Michelle it could be um ghee it could be coconut oil I like them just how I make them I don’t want them bright I don’t want lemon I don’t want Capers I want just the fattiness of the coconut oil with the it soaks into the mushroom and just makes them kind of chewy and the sage the salt and the garlic like that I’m stuck on that I can’t deviate that’s just me okay so now we have this little cute plate and let’s take some of these mushrooms oh my God you serve this to someone with a little I don’t know do you guys drink alcohol they have meat here in Sedona once in a while I’ll have honey me um or you just make a Cava cocktail or um a sparkly cranberry juice lemon what I’m saying in essence is make a party out of things like okay let’s try it oh my gosh [Music] oh my gosh you guys I think the parsley sounds fun that does sound good are you talking about mushrooms Jamie I missed it I bet I would like the Capers too but Sage is like um I know I wish you were here in person too it would be you would be like serve this I know I always tell people Herby was the best at receiving my food I would tell people the food needs to be received in the same way that was made it was made with joy and love so if you receive it and eat it with joy and love it’s that much better and it’s always a good idea to um give energy back to the chef in the way of oh my gosh this is so good or yay or that enthusiasm I tell people like I used to tell Patrick and I’ll tell a friend of mine I’m like the enthusi M makes me want to feed you again so all you have to do is go oh my God this is so good and then you’re just fed always you see with tears of gratitude here and feeding you come on how cute it’s very Brown like you could add a little pomegranate seed or something to give it a color if you were if you were serving these at a party I’m blowing my own mind over here it’s just like non-stop creativity which wouldn’t happen if I was alone probably I wouldn’t be like I really good in here well you can have dried figs you can always keep some kind of cashew cream cheese or almond cream cheese and you can make the mushrooms so you guys can make that so now so far they go rancid technically hemp seed butter is the only way you’re going to get them not rancid to be technical but I still use them from time to time and hemp seeds will be so good in the salad yes I steeping now we’re going to strain it I put prickly pear honey and some chili flakes I might want more honey so now we have to be careful we’re only going to do a third and if you want to drink it without extra liquid you could just drink it like it’s like a shot it’s good but it needs more honey definitely bitter and you know what the reason I didn’t feel anything last night cuz it was no way as strong as this cuz now I’m remembering the feeling you get on your tongue it’s almost it’s a numbing feeling a little bit like cocaine okay I put some more honey um yeah it’s like drinking alcohol you will feel the buzz fresh clear sudden Insight we had a lot that’s what I saw ex alcohol drinkers at the Cava bar it was just a lot of people with their um vaporizers big fat vaporizers and the taught us how to do you’ve had zero Cravings that’s amazing you barely even think about food me too unless it’s fruit or veggies me too that’s what happens you just don’t crave anything but like maybe a pear or some cherry tomatoes it’s exactly what’s been happening to me this is like way heavy for me right right now like I’m not going to finish these because they’re dense but I can finish them tomorrow um also you’ve been eating mostly watermelon a me too we’re on the same wavy path the wavy wave you were super clouded and was denying it for a long time so now you’re up and awake with us behind walls that most people can’t see so it’s it’s the collective unconscious it’s a different frequency it’s like being under the sea and not being able to see clearly but all of a sudden you see thought she goes we do guc cheese I’m like I’m not eating goat cheese so then I got this and mios feels cleaner I believe it’s cashew it feels a little cleaner than the kite Hill and I’m using like literally like a titch like this big so sliced black mission figs the dried ones a little titch of the cream cheese um and you could just eat it like that no the trick about it was taking one of the mushrooms and putting it on top as if it were pruto cuz pruto is salty and chewy and I thought when I was in Whole Foods I’m like how am I going to simulate pruto and it just happened so dried fig a little bit of the cashew cream cheese and one of the mushrooms and then Jamie suggested Ed the jalapeno the fermented jalapeno from small town cultures um it’s like a pickled jalapeno on top and it was insane but just like this it was insane I’ve never eaten a truffle I’ve had truffle flavored less than lovely yeah you want to get rid of your less and lovely behavior and I can identify it in a I forgot to mention a request for a video or livestream idea. I know you like coconut cult yogurt, so maybe you’ll like this idea. Coconut cult has this new flavor called “olive oil wedding cake”… So what if you came up with a raw vegan recipe for olive oil wedding cake balls & then we can just make the recipe along with you & add them into a vanilla coconut yogurt? The stores in my area don’t have that olive oil wedding cake flavor.. & I can’t stop thinking about it 😅 I must try & recreate this. My area only has the chocolate, strawberry & plain.
