I have a (recent) pellet grill from Broil King.
It leaks a lot of smoke from everywhere, in general.

I have mentioned it to the reseller and shot a video for them within normal range (200-300F) with a lot of smoke. They said BK suggested it was normal.

Today, I was seasoning it, so around 280C (~540F), and as it was showing a crazy amount of smoke, but not yet in the polymerization phase (I am aware oil can degase a lot in the heating phase). I shot a second video.

I usually take care of it (cleanup, season, etc.)

Is it normal?

Where I leave, BK does not provide support directly so I am stuck on the reseller "opinion"…

Look up a high heat gasket that you can outline your smoking chamber with to help retain the smoke if you feel it’s excessive there are lots of options on Amazon you will just need to do a bit of math to ensure you buy enough
