welcome to the single dad’s cookbook Christmas specials hi folks welcome back to the second episode of the single dads Christmas specials side dishes with a Twist uh this episode features our favorite brussel sprouts um I’m not a massive fan was a massive fan but if you go back there’s some other videos where I shred it up put a bit uh baking through it uh absolutely delightful this way is one of my favorite things which is melty cheese um so what I’m going to do here I’m just going to cut them in half I’m going to then pop out pop on the um them into some boiling water I’m going to par boil them for a little bit now into a little saucepan I’m adding in some balsamic vinegar you don’t have to do this I just find where the you need the sort of acidic kick to the the salty sweetness of the parmesan so the balsamic is on reducing cuz I want it to be a glaze I don’t want it to be a liquid um into a an oven tray I put a grease proof bit of paper and I’m going to GRE in the parmesan now the key to this and you’ll see when I bring it out is no matter how much you think you’ve got of Parmesan it’s not enough keep going okay so uh you can see here I’ve covered the whole bottom of the tray in the parmesan cheese okay so it is you got to keep going with it while I’m still doing away and messing around there I want to say welcome to the channel if you are new please think about hitting the like button the Subscribe button if you watch the the videos but you’re not subscribed yet please please push the Subscribe button you’ll get the videos a bit quicker um and also comment down below where you’re watching it from cuz it does mean honestly the world to me right that’s that’s it out the way now all you got to watch with this Bell something you just got to keep it keep it moving because very quickly it turns from from being quite loose to as you can see how much it’s it’s there and then it actually it goes a bit like this and you’ve just got to take it off cuz it’s still cooking in the pan cuz the Pan’s still hot when you’ve done it so over to the the bed of Parmesan you’re going to lay your your brussel sprouts down into them bit like that as if by Magic and then over the top of these so you see how that glaze is just completely reduced down to nothing I’m just putting a little bit just so a nice little kiss on each of the brussles of that glaze then they’re going in the oven ovens at 180° as everything is in my house is cooked at and then it goes in there and we’ll bring them out and I’ll show you what they look like so really that straightforward and there you have it look at that now you can slice them off put them in cut them up into little squares do what you want with them depending on how you do it I’m for this video I’m just sure I’m going to just take them out and put them in but give them a taste so you can see there the sticky cheese on it again I couldn’t stop eating these as they were coming out guys let’s plate them up so again you could plate them up a little bit better than that but it’s the crispy crispy of the parmesan the the Tang of the the um the balsamic reduction guys from my family to yours as always hope you’re looking after yourself till the next time hope you enjoy yourself bye now
