it could bounce back. i transplanted some volunteers from my auntβs backyard and they looked like this for a week or two. looked so sad and only had a couple leaves. they came back to life and produced a good amount of fruits! dont give up and dont overwater because youre worried!

Transplant shock. Water them good and put them in the shade for a day or two. After that they will bounce back

Oh so we rarely talk on the sub about transferring cuttings from water/hydro to soil and really, thatβs our bad.
There are some folks who can magically place their cuttings directly in moist soil and they do fine. Iβm not one of them. I have to do a several days process where I wean the cutting off of water. Itβs kind of a pain. What I find that helps is transitioning to soil *inside* because the plant isnβt also fighting environmental changes while itβs also learning to uptake from soil. A steady temp helps a ton.

I had a couple of plants do this dramatic behavior when I took them from indoor hydro to outdoor soil. They need a lot of water at first but they adjust.

As long as itβs green, thereβs hope. Give it a couple days
