Sometimes I buy a slice of pizza or a salad, but I don’t know what the calories are.

For example in photo is a chickpea salad with cucumber, onion, tomato, feta cheese and very diluted dressing of olive oil and vinegar. This can’t be much in calories (500g I have it for 2-3days).

You guess the proportions of ingredients if there isn’t a calorie count on the packaging. It should have a gross weight and ingredient list on the label still, those are usually required by law.

You just can’t have it both ways 🙁

Either you prepare your own food and be sure of the calories you are intaking, or you buy premade food and guess.

You can pay attention to the most high-calorie ingredients and focus on that when guessing. Here, that would be the chickpeas, olive oil, and feta I think.

Honestly, I don’t eat prepared food. Partially for this reason but mainly I don’t trust the cleanliness of the preparation process.
