Corkscrew is great, no doubt, but I can’t see how it is better than Interstellar, let alone Browns or Micklethwait beatint it. The lack of many central Texas BBQ spots is a good reminder to not take yelp so seriously!

I mean, it’s just intellectually dishonest to not include Franklins on a top 100 BBQ list. Celeb or not, his bbq is top tier.

Serious question – Who actually still uses Yelp in 2024?

A top BBQ list where Franklin doesn’t break the top 100…alright.

Fuck yelps list. Tyler’s shitty Amarillo bbq paying to be near the top.

AKA the only two Austin-based BBQ joints to pay them for the coverage

Yelp top 100 rankings are trash. Just in general.

This list is just silly. Any restaurant in gatlinburg being in the top 10 makes no sense.

I have never once had anything less than great at Micklethwaite’s. I honestly think the only reason it’s not consistently higher is I always either eat super fast or ended a sopping, sweaty mess by the time I’m done eating. Outdoor dining in Texas. The tents helped but it’s still uncomfortably hot for 9 months out of the year.

That bowl with sausage link looks legit. Despite what all the haters may say, I still love me a Turbo T-Man from Bert’s!

“We identified businesses in the Barbecue category with a large concentration of reviews mentioning “barbecue”….”

That means that there’s an awful lot of places being considered, at the very least, merely because somebody talks about one particular item that they consider to be barbecue. This whole list is trash…

And this is why I go by Google’s ratings and reviews and Yelp
