I smoked at 200⁰f until I had reached 160⁰ IT and spritzed 3 times during that period with 50/50 apple cider vinegar and apple cider. Once I hit 160⁰ I bumped the temp up to 250⁰ until I was probe tender/205⁰.

I calculated the pellet burn cost on my pro 22. Depending on temp it’s about $1 an hour with Traeger brand pellets. I don’t know why, but I think about that the whole time I leave it running for long cooks.

For those asking the bones fell right out the bark was the perfect crunch yet tender. I am still working on shredding the last two but these could just be the best butts I’ve made yet.
