How can somethings with noodles and chicken be 130 calories? Are they lying? My paranoid brain says it can’t be true

It’s mostly water. Not sure if you’ve eaten one of these yet but the amount of noodles and chicken in these is very little. I would trust the calorie count.

These are delicious imo, and the calories are accurate as far as I know. I’ve eaten them for years. Nothing better for a light lunch than a can of this and a few Saltine crackers!

Most of the light progressos are super good 🙂 definitely my fav in winter.

Just be careful of all the sodium in canned and frozen foods. The sodium can make you retain water and make it appear that you weigh more than you actually do.

Soup is an outstanding diet food. They’re often going to be low-calorie and fill you up.
I’ll often keep some grilled chicken around for salads and other stuff, and sometimes I’ll make soup like this and throw some more chicken in with it — it’s only about 100-150 more calories (still less than 300 total) and is still pretty filling.

Oh, it’s real. This stuff helped me lose 30 pounds like 18 years ago. I used to have a can of this and a half slice of toast for lunch or dinner. I would also have two packs of the oatmeal ‘cream’ varieties (think, peaches n’ cream, berries n’ cream, etc.) for lunch or a treat. Or would have a can of tuna fish with yellow mustard. I’m vegan now and try to choose more quality over quantity, but it did help with the weight thing.

Light low-oil broth, and fiber in the noodles.

The light chicken and dumpling was my favorite when I was able to eat dairy and sodium. Don’t know what exactly in the ingredients includes the milk, but they list it as an allergen so it’s off my allowed foods list. And when my max limit for daily sodium is only 1800, 600+mg is just too much for one part of a meal.
I used to eat these two or three times a week when I worked in a factory. We didn’t have a microwave, so I’d heat it up old school on the stove in the morning and dump it into my little thermos container for lunch. So many varieties, I never got tired of them!

I eat one of these every day for lunch so I can have a big dinner!
