Was getting teeth pulled necessary? I’ve had braces for about two years, and I didn’t need any pulled. They’re moving in to place.

I’m 44 now and I remember having 8 teeth pulled when I was around 12 years old in order to get braces. I remember waking up to my pillow soaked in blood. I had braces for 3 years and I remember the excruciating pain every single time they were tightened, every single time I clinked my teeth together sent a shooting pain throughout my head, the sores in my mouth…..I would just let the kid have crooked teeth.
