Hey everyone,
I picked these wholly smashed avocado minis up today from Walmart since i haven’t been able to make it out to Costco. I was a little surprised to see when i got home that they are 40 calories higher than the Costco minis, while weighing the same amount in grams (56g vs 57g). The thing is, the ingredients list on the Wholly says it contains literally only hass avocado. Even google says 56 grams of avocado comes out to about 90 calories. Why do these come in higher? 40 calories isnt gonna make it or break it for me at the end of the day, but still, I would like to know. Thanks!

Perhaps the lemon juice in the first one is adding weight without the calories. You may be getting more avocado per gram of product weight in the second one since it’s the only ingredient
I’ve always been confused about this exact thing.
The second one has more fat and sugar in it than the first. 3g more fat is 24cal. 1g more sugar is 4cal. Not equal to the entire difference but definitely contributes.
