I made some spicy potato balls that with the help of potato starch turns into this chewy goodness. I understand this is popular in asian countries and you can even make noodles with this dough. I will drop the recipe bellow if anyone wants to try it.
Dough
600g potatoes
75g potato starch
Sauce
1 tsp jalapeno powder
1 tsp habanero flakes
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
3 tbsp tamarin
3 tbsp garlic
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
5 tbsp oil
Method
Boil potatoes until soft and tender. Drain and then mash them up before adding the potato starch. Mix the dough until it becomes smooth and does not stick anymore, add more potato starch if still sticky.
Shape dough into small balls before dropping into boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Immediately drop into ice cold water to prevent sticking.
Add sauce ingredients to a hot pan and mix before adding the cooked balls to it. Cook in the sauce for a couple minutes ensuring full coverage before serving.
