welcome to Amy learns to cook on the show today we are taking on the wigs five minute food challenge we are going to transform our Thanksgiving leftovers into a five minute dish we’re gonna make turkey and cranberry Monte Cristos so let’s get cooking our first step is to take some of our leftover turkey in this we just cut it off as this entire breast off of the turkey and now we’re just gonna slice it gonna make medium slices for our Monte Cristo okay so now we’re going to make a little bit of a batter we’re going to crack three eggs into this bowl and we’re going to put about a quarter cup of milk in here and we’re just going to beat this until the eggs are thoroughly beaten okay now we’re going to assemble the sandwich so we’re gonna take mayonnaise and we’re going to cover one piece of bread foreign and then we’re going to take some fresh homemade cranberry sauce that we made for Thanksgiving and we’re going to put that on the other side on the other piece of bread just spread it out and this cranberry sauce is so good okay so now we’re going to take our turkey and we’re just going to put a good amount of turkey on here make sure it fits and then we’re going to put some Swiss cheese and we are going to close it up now we’re going to dip this in a little bit of batter so we’re going to take our egg and milk mixture and we’re going to dump dump the sandwich in and this can get a little bit messy but that’s okay it’s worth it right I’m gonna dump the sandwich in here and we’re going to put the sandwich on our buttered griddle and we’re just going to let it cook until it’s done on each side nice and brown and we will have a nice delicious sandwich thank you okay the sandwich is nice and toasty and where it’s time to take it off the pan so we’re gonna take it off oh gosh it looks so good it looks so good and we’re just going to take an offset bread knife and we’re going to give it a little cut down the middle on the diagonal and we’re gonna put it on our plate here the sandwich is so good looking so Juicy and Delicious huh so let’s take a taste of this delicious looking sandwich wow the cranberry sauce is nice and tart the turkey is juicy what the cranberry sauce is nice because a traditional Monte Cristo is served with jam and with the cranberry sauce it mimics a traditional Monte Crisco this is fabulous go ahead and give it a try if you if you like this recipe please subscribe below and log on to my website at www.amylearnstocook.com I’m also on Twitter at twitter.com Amy learns to cook thank you
