asalam alikum and welcome to title’s busy kitchen with me titly nian I’ve got a lot of raspberries in my garden so far I’ve made a summer pudding and a raspberry pav lover I think I’ll make a jam making raspberry jam is really quite easy whatever weight of raspber you’ve got use 2/3 the weight of sugar so if you got 500 G of raspberries use 350 g of sugar if you’ve got a pound of raspberries use 10 oz of sugar I’ve got 1 and 1 half kilos of raspberries from my garden which I’ve washed and a kilogram of sugar put the raspberries in a pan and turn on a low heat after a few minutes the fruit will collapse and give up its juices simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes now add in the sugar and stir to dissolve bring to the boil then when it comes to the boil boil vigorously for 10 minutes if you’ve ever seen the film The Blob you may recognize this after 10 minutes turn off the heat give it a good stir now take a teaspoon of jam and drop it onto a cold plate and wait for 1 minute if it doesn’t look like it’s going to set boil it for another 5 minutes that’s better now spoon the jam into nice clean sterile jars wipe around the thread with a damp cloth then pop on a lid titly is 100% organic raspberry jam contains no organs make or severe satisfaction when consumed with bread and butter eat responsibly I do love raspberry jam my humble opinion it is the queen of jams join me next time in title’s busy kitchen with me titling thean until next time h

  1. Titli? Did I hear your right you have a garden? If you do can you do a video of your garden? I would love to see that!
    Regards,
    Tasha

  2. The raspberries are gorgeous! I was waiting for the knob of butter to be thrown in and it didn't happen! lol I think raspberry jam is the best too.

  3. Hi there I love your site. Your videos are great. I sure lear and have fun watching them. I have a question: Can I use sugar substitute like Splenda? I love jams but I skip them because of the sugar. Thanks for sharing your tips and techniques.

  4. @pepsysxd I know there are many kids with allergies and my daughter is 2 years old and she started with her allergies at 6 months old and I was breastfeeding her and for her sake I had to change my diet so that she wont react

  5. @TitliNihaan that's funny, because i've heard that açaí has a lot of calories… it must be the lack of the letters ç and í that is causing this… you probably have them there, wherever it is you are (uk?) but i suppose it's like raspberries here. they're probably scarce and overpriced…?

  6. Hiya Titli, I just got the craving for something featuring vanilla. Have you got any recipes that do that? Thanks!

  7. @TitliNihaan Well, to tell you the truth, I never looked for raspberries either… But if you ever come across açaí, do try it, I never met anyone who disliked them. It's usually served as a very cold cream, like ice cream, but softer. And you put slices of other fruit in it, like bananas, strawberries, or any other. And also some cereals. And it makes your tongue turn purple, it's fun. I'll try and find some raspberries here. I once ate some raspberry chocolate from the US and it was delicious!

  8. i wouldnt make jams with the artificial sweetener. I believe they are worse than sugar. I think its best to make with sugar and eat less jam. Or maybe you could reduce the sugar in it. This year I have put most of the berries into the freezer and hardly added any sugar. But i truly believe that artificial sweeteners should not be eaten at all.

  9. @TitliNihaan Hi titli I love you!! I've seen all your baking type videos! could you do the same with starwberries?? xoxox I love you too much! be my nan!

  10. I just made jam and found that 3 pounds berries to 2 pounds sugar makes seven eight oz jars,or just the right number to fit in my six-quart sauce pan with a little left over for us cooks!red-raz guy

  11. I think you are referring to putting them in a hot water bath. When I put the jam in jars the jars are very hot, the jam is very hot, and the lids are hot. That way I don't need the extra heating step.

  12. Titli, I love your recipes but love your videos even more. I am going to make this jam later today. Thanks
