Greetings, I recently joined this sub and live in Central Florida.
I was excited to take delivery of my new KJ Classic I from Home Depot and the cooker arrived undamaged. Upon inspection and assembly I noticed the lower left corner of the bottom vent has some of the drill hole exposed, due to the dimple on the outside of the cooker and hole location. I need the advice of some experts on what to do. It looks like a large washer covers the hole on the inside, so it shouldn’t leak any air. Let me know if that assumption is correct and is this typical/normal. Thanks.
I have been grilling/smoking on a Steel Chargriller Akorn for the past 12 years, so this is a nice upgrade.

There isn’t any caulking behind the vent?
