Today on The Stay At Home Chef I want to share a super easy and delicious recipe for air fryer shrimp. These are perfect to eat hot from the air fryer or to go on your favorite dish like a pasta dish or tacos. First thing let’s go over the ingredients. You’ll need 1 pound of jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined, and I love using jumbo shrimp because I find they stay the juiciest. You can definitely use smaller shrimp but make sure to cut back on the cooking time, and also make sure they’re thawed. You’ll also need 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, because shrimp and citrus are like best friends, and then for the dry seasonings I love this combo, but do what works best for you. For my blend I’m going to mix into a bowl 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, and 1 teaspoon of dried basil. Then 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and then 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. To prepare the shrimp we’re going to place them in a bowl, and drizzle them with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, which is about 1/2 a lemon. Sprinkle those dry seasonings over the shrimp, then toss everything together to fully coat the shrimp. Next we need to preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. This one only goes to 390 so make it as hot as it will go. You can either thread the shrimp onto skewers or place them directly in the air fryer in a single layer. Just make sure they don’t fall through the grates, and make sure they’re evenly spaced. Then cook the shrimp for 5-7 minutes, and I find you don’t need to flip them, but if you’re dying to do so go right ahead, about halfway through. The shrimp need to be cooked until they’re no longer translucent. They’re nice and pink. But that’s it, so simple and so delicious. Serve them up hot and you are ready to eat. Thanks for watching. 1. Thanks for adding some air fryer recipes. I made a steak following your directions and it as delicious! ❤

  2. I love that you have air dryer recipies too! Can't wait to try this. By the way I love you channel ad have loved everything I've made.

  3. Americans call prawns shrimp? Shrimp are tiny things, less than an inch in length?

Any Australians reading this, do you also call these things shrimp? I always wondered how you would even be able to "throw a shrimp on the barbie" since it will fall right through the tiniest grid. Now some Mozambican prawns on the braai makes more sense.

P.S> The algorithm was smart enough to translate. My search was "shelled prawns airfryer"

  4. Looks delicious! I always use shrimp with the shells and heads on. It preserves the juices and flavor. I wonder if an air fryer could be used to make a salt and pepper crispy shrimp like in a Chinese restaurant where you can eat the shell and the tail?

  5. Never used my air frier for shrimps but I needed a quick night snack and used this recipe to add to the chicken Fried rice. Quick delicious recipe. No messy cast iron clean up.

  6. Lovely and quick recipe, thank you. For all you Corsori users 7 minutes was too long. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying them. I paired with homemade remoulade that needed to mature in the fridge overnight. Tomorrow’s retake will be epic 😂🎉

  7. I never follow a recipe to the letter but your I did. The result was absolutely delicious. The only issue I had was my air fryer runs a bit hot so 7 minutes was a bit too much. Still good though. Next time 6 minutes. Thanks for the recipe.
