**Caprese Celebration**
I crossed the hundred-pound harvest mark last weekend, so now it’s time to relax and get creative. This morning I sliced some of my ripest “blemish” tomatoes, ones that don’t quite measure up to use as gifts, ones with cracks and dings and bird bites. Most are dark, flavorful anthocyanin-rich varieties: Black Krim, Japanese Black Trifele, Black Sea Man, Dark Star and Cherokee Carbon. Snipped some fresh basil from a “companion” plant, opened a package of fresh BelGioso mozzarella. Brewed a pot of Pu’er tea and settled in to enjoy one of those “life is good” moments!

Looks delicious! I’m growing Black Krim for the first time and I can’t wait to try one because so many people rave about it.

I mean that looks so good. Salt, pepper and olive oil for me.
