    That’s a lot of plants in a very small amount of soil. You will need to fertilize and water very regularly and do a lot of pruning/training.

    I believe you planted indeterminate varieties which means they will keep growing tall and wide until they die off. For my indeterminates, I grow them in an inground garden and I pound an 8′ 1×2″ stake about a foot into the ground, beside it, so I can tie off stems and branches. My plants usually get about 8′ tall when I top them plus I remove any suckers that I can’t provide support for. Personally, I wouldn’t plant anything but dwarf tomatoes in containers – and would only grow them outside.

    Not that you asked, but one of the factors with yours is that you’re growing them – indoors which isn’t ideal for thriving plants or fruit production even in south facing sunny windows.

    No. Move them outside, so they get more light and don’t grow lanky.
