I’m guilty of this , the feet on the corners is what made me realize it.

I’ll put them any way I want

I switched to the right way earlier today and it’s a game changer. Way better seemed to cook more evenly

Maybe I could’ve gotten better grill marks?

Mine have been upside down for 8 years. Lesson learned.

Y’all didn’t think it was weird that you couldn’t slide a spatula from front to back without hitting those speed bumps?

I recently got a Weber and realized I put the grates upside down after that post earlier today. Good PSA.

Another full grown adult who thought he had life figured out checking in to say i’ve also been living life in the grilling upside down. Thanks for the heads up!! Looking forward to see if I can muster a decent sear finally

I have the rounded steel grills.

I was wondering why everything tasted inverted.

I think a lot of the confusion sterns from the fact that only some grates are like that. I have a non-Weber grill, and while my grates are shaped similarly (flat on one side, triangle-ish on the other), it’s clear than on mine the pointy side stays up (pointy side have no “feet”, flat side has seams and isn’t fully smooth).

Helps with cleaning also since it’ll drip most off instead of collecting and burning on
