Do You put the orange skins in the relish?
Always my favorite relish. As a kid my parents used a big manual meat grinder to crush the cranberries and oranges. Didn't add juice there was enough in the fruit and we added sugar after. Let it set and taste later to see if it needs more sugar. I always loved it tart so I make multiple batches. Freezes great, good on ice cream, turkey sandwiches, everything.
What a beautiful relish, Deronda.
You are the best, thks for your recipes!!!
Could you add cinnamon nutmeg etc or would that ruin it?
💗
My Mother made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas… we all had to eat a bite of it. I now make my kids eat a bite of it (they are over 30 years old). haha, just another holiday tradition.
This looks awesome!! I’m adding pecans to mine
My mom added a apple and walnuts to hers
Can i mix in a blender if i dont have food processor?
Can this entire recipe be frozen after it is made? I have a friend who would like me to make some for the holidays and I won’t have time as they get closer. She told me the one that she bought at the store has been in the freezer section. Also wondering how this would taste if it was canned up?

It’s great on a smoked turkey breast sandwich in summertime! I make them every year, when we smoke turkey breast in the summer!
Hello, I have several bags of fresh crans frozen. Taking up space in my freezer. Have you ever “canned” this relish? How’d it turn out? I’m going to try it with one bag as a test run!
Thank you for this video. My mom used to make this fresh every Thanksgiving and I loved it,, so tangy and sweet.
Can’t wait to make it.
ADD a jalapeño for a kick!!!
I had this today at friend's dinner. Delishious and I had to track down who made it. I'm going be making it at our meals now
This looks yummy. I once had a deli turkey sandwich that had crusty bread, turkey slices, a creamy bread spread, lettuce, Gorgonzola cheese and this type of relish. OMG it was fantastic. The fruity sweet and salty flavors were amazing.
