Don’t let the name fool you, get the sandwiches at Grata’s Pizzeria
Or Cheesesteaks and Hoagie's or whatever these Yankees call meat and cheese between bread.
On S Lamar where Gourdough's used to be.

I’ve been on the quest on trying cheesesteaks at local joints. I’ll have to give this a go! Thanks!

Solid cheesesteak, was kinda off put by the fact that I was their second (lunch) online order of the day and there was literally no one else there but staff. Hope they adjust their business hours accordingly and/or have enough night traffic to make it work.
(Also, Coast2Coast is part of Grata’s now, used to be seperate spots. Not sure if it’s a ghost kitchen or consolidation or acquisition situation.)

This is the same place that put the mannequins near the windows inside to simulate that people were in there?

I think one of the most interesting curiosities about the Austin food scene is that some of the best sandwiches in town are found in pizza places. These look great.

I was fooled into going to this place when it was in a gas station behind Central Market by a similar post. That place was a shit show and the food was the same. My wife was like why in the hell did you bring me here to get food. Hard pass. I will stick to LD and HS.

I thought their pizza was solid. Neopolitan style, could have been cooked a hair longer for my liking, but there aren’t too many neo style down south that I know of. But yeah they don’t seem to be marketing much. It was pretty quiet when I went to pick up my pizza too

Place is a mess. Constantly changing hours. Idk if they’ve finally settled on their open and close times but it was super frustrating to go there for lunch and it be closed. Was more consistent at the gas station they used to be at.

The cheesesteak is good but so damn overpriced considering how small it is and chips are extra.

That Italian looks amazing.

This is garbage. Is it just “restaurant “ owners shilling in here now?

Used to get their pizza when they were at the Shell gas station on Menchaca just south of Ben White. Grata’s prides themselves on those cheesesteaks. They also had breakfast tacos for a while; not sure if they still do.

It’s a great sandwich spot. Had the Philly twice now and was very solid. It’s always dead when I pickup the food so it doesn’t look great long term.

What is the second photo? Looks great. Meatball or chicken parm?
