Considering putting these two (Serrano & Jalapeño) in the ground later this year. First year, but they seem pretty established. I’m in Florida and I think they’d be okay but I don’t have any irrigation for them. Just wondering if I can rely on Florida rain during times when I can’t water them myself?

Just depends on how consistent you get rain. I know Florida has been pretty dry so far so you might have to just fill up a watering can occasionally! Plants look good

Of course! If it doesn’t rain that week just water them two times a week should be sufficient! And we are all constantly learning and this page is a great help for that

There might be a way to create a drip irrigation system with a rain barrel potentially;but I would think that the water would get stagnant. Is there a reason you are against watering? Peppers really only need like 2-3 times a week if it rains maybe even just once?
