this is my veganized version of cheesecake factory’s oreo dream cheesecake! this vegan version was one of the best desserts i’ve ever made and so fun to do! i love making vegan versions of treats i loved before i went vegan (and making them better than the non-vegan versions by not using animal products😉)
last photo is the original, this cheesecake has a layer of chocolate cake, whipped chocolate ganache, oreo cheesecake, oreo mousse, topped with a smooth ganache. decorating cakes is not my strong suit lol so i decided to decorate mine with oreos on top and crumbled chocolate cake around the side instead of chocolate chips.
these are the recipes i used:
for the chocolate cake, https://www.noracooks.com/vegan-chocolate-cake/
nora cooks chocolate cake is my go to, i used the same size springform pan i used for the cheesecake so the layers matched.

i used this recipe with tofutti cream cheese, and added a bit of vanilla and vegan lactic acid. i didn’t do the crust, i added a parchment round to the bottom of my springform pan and greased it so it wouldn’t stick and i could get it out easier.
for the mousse, https://schoolnightvegan.com/home/vegan-whipped-cream/#google_vignette
i made this whipped cream, then i whipped up a tofutti cream cheese with the cream parts of ~15-20 oreos, then folded in about half the whipped cream along with the crushed cookie parts of the oreos.
for the ganache, i cannot find the original recipe, but i’ve been using these proportions whenever i make ganache. heat up an entire can of thai kitchen unsweetened coconut milk until it’s just about to boil, then pour 1/2 cup over 3/4 cup of chocolate chips. let it sit for ~30 seconds, add a splash of vanilla, and whisk it smooth. let it sit until the consistency has thickened, then poured over the top. at this point, i had my cheesecake in the freezer for ~30-45 mins so the ganache set on top easier.
for the whipped ganache, use the same recipe, let it sit in the fridge for 30-40 mins until almost solid, then whip with stand mixer until fluffy.
