Store bought plants are growing with a bunch of foliage very near ground. Is that a problem? Also, all of them have been flowering since I got them and even more so since I repotted. Been picking all the flowers to keep them from fruiting too early. Will they eventually stop till they get bigger?

It was still dipping down into the 50s for a week or so when I first potted them and put them out. Since then it’s been a week and a half or two weeks of much warmer weather. I’m in Maryland, Zone 7.
I would bottom prune some of the bottom-bushy ones to push the canopy higher
Secondary growth always starts at the bottom of the stem, so it will fill in the middle before long. You don’t really want leaves touching the soil, though, so I would remove the lowest leaves, as suggested by the other commenter. Looking good 👍
Let them go, let them grow. No worries
Also in MD here. I decided this week to stop pinching flowers off. If you don’t stop now you might not have enough time to get a decent harvest but it really comes down to the varieties you’re growing. Regardless prune off the lowest leaves if they’re touching the soil. Dealing with disease and pests is not fun.
Keep everything, Prune nothing. The plant will naturally drop leaves and flowers it doesn’t need. Get some pine straw down above the soil to prevent dirt splash instead of pruning leaves that gather energy for the plant.
Pluck them they are a waste of energy
