Ever since I got this table my BGE doesn’t seem to heat up as fast or get as hot as it did with the nest. Seems like an airflow issue but not sure. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I wonder if it being directly on the plinth instead of brackets is dissipating the heat below. Also, how much was that? It’s amazing!!

I could be wrong. But I’m fairly certain the bge needs to have it’s bottom side exposed. For airflow purposes. So maybe putting it on some legs would help?
Other than that, do a deep clean? I had a bunch of smaller charcoal pieces blocking too many of the air holes on the chacoal grate and fire box. Did a good deep clean of it, and was amazed when I was reaching my desired temp in 30-40 mins or so with new charcoal in there.
