I recently had an outdoor kitchen/bbq island built and my BGE sits directly on the tile. I noticed after a high heat cook there was a crack. I’m wondering if there are any recommendations on how to sit my BGE on here. It’s literally just sitting on top. I’ve seen some feet online. I have the XL BGE. I’m also a little worried it could be accidentally pushed off, but honestly was way more worried about the old nest it used to be in.

You can get a single square patio paver and sit it on top of that.

You really should have your egg elevated off of the underlying surface – whatever that surface might be. The heat cycles from being in contact will damage some surfaces, like it has here with the crack. Wood will obviously present different issues. But the egg itself will benefit from an air gap.
The bottom of your egg gets hot while cooking – the whole egg does, actually. All of that heated ceramic contributes to the efficiency of kamado grills, and is why they’re able to cook with less fuel, and less airflow drying out your food. By placing your grill onto a surface, you creat a heat sink effect, where the item below – commonly a paver stone- is now drawing that heat away from the bottom of the egg. At a minimum, you’re losing those BTU, and in a worst case scenario you could end up with a cracked base due to disparity between the thermal expansion of the bottom vs the walls. In some cases the paver gets hot enough to transfer the heat to the table.
BGE sells table nests for a reason. They also offer ceramic feet which function the same. Get an air gap between your grill and the base for better performance and protection of both your table and egg.

Buy some ceramic feet if you’re not putting her in a nest.
