months of care just to nearly die when eating a superhot pepper.

Sorry, my friend. That image is upsetting. I’m afraid I’ll have to call attention to this post. Guns are not fun, not even close.

Best part is cutting them up, trying a little piece:”oh that’s not that bad actually….. OH BOY.” oh and that one time I touched my face after not washing my hands properly (who needs gloves, pfff) and thought someone peppersprayed me.
But I like to make chili flakes or chili oil out of them, then it’s easier dosable

I love growing peppers of all kind, but even a simple Jalapeño is way too hot for me to be able to taste anything.

I make chilli flakes and salt and stuff and give them away to random people. I just love pepper plants.

Need to switch the captions for it is you, the grower of superhot peppers, who is holding the gun

Lol yep! And no matter what I can never seem to raise my heat tolerance very high like those guys you see eating whole pods on videos… nope. One small slice of a Ghost or hotter and I’m pacing around with a cup of milk freaking out. The worst is when you have to refill your glass and have that 5-10 second gap of no liquids to drink 😭 Then you drink too much and feel sick. Then the cap cramps. Relentless stuff.

I had a beautiful 7 pot bubblegum scorpion plant that produced dozens and dozens of peppers. All but one were the same. Generally I could eat one chopped finely per meal and it was manageable.

But it had 1 crossbreed that instead of wrinkly and red was smooth and peach. Assuming it crossed with a ghost but was hands down the most intense of any pepper that year.

It was developing slower than anything I grew, never grew to any great size and waited until fall, near frost to pick. Chopped it up and put on a wrap. I ate half that wrap then paced my apartment with a jug of milk for the next 30 mins. Literally ruined my weekend. Ate it early Friday night and my stomach didn’t feel stable until Sunday. Felt like I swallowed a glowing steel ball and chased with lava.
