“Should I get the Classic or the Big Joe?”…..Get the bigg’un. Nothing prettier than 13 skewers of steak kabobs.

Get the Big Joe if you have the space, budget, and need.
I have the classic 18″. I love this thing to death. But…. I wish I had bought the 24″. When I have guests, I end up having to cook in shifts.
My wife thinks I should buy TWO 18″ KJ’s so that I can have everything cooking. I can’t seem to get her to understand that ONE 24″ KJ will give me almost twice as much cooking area, despite only being 6 inches wider, 3 inches on each side.
I have a small back yard. A Big Joe would fit just as well where I store my classic KJ now. I asked my wife “Where would I store a second KJ?”
if you master the art of using only enough charchoal that you need for what you are cooking, then you will be fine. Just shut it down when finished. The remaining charcoal be used in the next cook. But try not waste it by over useing it.
You look like you have a lot of space.

I’ve never had a grilling situation where my grill was too big.

I can fit those in my classic with the expander rack.

I have both. Like both. Prefer the BJ3 for its many cooking options. I also like, when grilling, having the grates farther away from the flames (but I can still lower them).

Got the big, no regerts. Couple racks of ribs fills it up quick. Thinking about the extender someday.
