Just noticed these brown spots working their way through the leaves of these two plants. They do touch each other so I’m wondering if they spread it to eachother or if I’m over fertilizing or under watering.
SoCal weather so a solid 90s weather now, it is shade cloth covered for the hottest part of the day. I water daily in my raised bed as I have 2 other pepper plants and flowers and herbs in the bed. I do add dr. earth slow release fertilizer to the soil about once a month. They are also already fruiting just fine at the moment. Any help or advice will be appreciated!!

When I see brown or silvery patches like that I think insects. One of the very small varieties such as mites or thrips. Inspect all the plants thoroughly, with a magnifier or something if possible. I would begin an insectisidal soap spraying schedule. One gallon of water to 1 tablespoon of regular dish soap. Spray all surfaces of every plant. Do this just before sun down so the plant doesn’t burn. You can place some ground cover below the plant if you’re worried about phytotoxicity.
I would do this once a week for a few weeks and then occasionally afterwards.
You could also do a round of spinosad which will kill most everything.
If you’ve ruled out insects then I would start thinking about deficiencies or toxicity. Check your ph. If it is very low you could be looking at iron or manganese toxicity. Uptake of these are increased at low ph and can result in that bronzing of the leaves. Low ph issues are usually concentrated on the lower foliage of the plants.
